My adapter is not to code, but it does work. Unfortunately, it is rather cumbersome in that I need to turn the circuit breaker off, pull out the dryer to access the outlet, pull the dryer plug, plug in the charging station, and energize the breaker. For a NEMA 14-30 modern house dryer plug, I would just use the 14-50 extension cord above and saw off the neutral blade straight blade opposite of the round ground since the neutral is not used for car charging.
